The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
